Job history: Yuewei has over a decade of experience at LIRR and has filled multiple roles in project management and controls. Currently senior project manager for special projects in sustainability and resiliency, she oversees planning, scope development and executive reporting for projects. Previously, she was project manager for East Side Access (ESA) operational readiness; and earlier roles include assistant project manager in the security/communication and track groups. She began her career at LIRR 13 years ago as a schedule coordinator.
Why she's influential in sustainability: Yuewei leads with vision. She is aligning LIRR's environmental initiatives with New York State Executive Order 22, which directs agencies to reduce emissions, increase energy efficiency, eliminate single-use plastics, transition to zero-emission vehicle fleets and adopt sustainable procurement policies. Yuewei's ability to coordinate across MTA agencies and external partners has been instrumental in advancing sustainable infrastructure planning and execution.
