Woman of Influence in Rail

Lisa Roberts

President of operations
Omaha Track

Job history: Lisa joined Omaha Track in 2013 with a background in finance. For the next five years, she contributed to the company's facilities and marketing efforts. After that, she spent four years as director of business development and was promoted to chief growth officer in 2022. She was promoted to president of operations in 2025, a position that covers terminal operations, marketing, sales and business development.

Why she's influential as a leader: Lisa has helped transform the company from a small, regional contractor into a national leader in rail material recycling, tie processing and other railroad services. When she joined Omaha Track, the company had about a third of its current workforce. She has helped diversify Omaha Track's service offerings and played a pivotal role in strategic acquisitions, operational innovation and sustainable rail-tie recycling practices.

She believes in companies investing in people, encouraging them to grow, take risks and learn from their mistakes. She has mentored women within the company and the rail industry at large. Lisa is a member of the National Railroad Construction and Maintenance Association's board and serves as the secretary/treasurer of its executive committee.
