East Chicago Rail Terminal opens Chicago transload facility (7/29/2021)
7/29/2025East Chicago Rail Terminal LLC has partnered with East Chicago Transload LLC to bring both common-carrier rail switching services and transload offerings to one location near the Windy City.
On July 27, the company opened a new transload facility in East Chicago, Indiana, near interstates 65, 90 and 94, and minutes away from points in Illinois and Michigan, according to a press release.
East Chicago Rail Terminal will provide 24/7 switching service to East Chicago Transload.
