Progressive Railroading is soliciting nominations for its seventh annual "Rising Stars" recognition of the up-and-coming leaders in North America's railroad industry.
Progressive Railroading defines a "Rising Star" as someone under the age of 40 who has made, or is making, a positive impact on his or her company, organization, department or team, and is viewed by others — peers, colleagues, supervisors, clients, associates — as a rising star in the rail industry. Progressive Railroading will select 25 Rising Stars to recognize at a celebration dinner on July 22, 2019, in Norfolk, Va., and will publish their profiles in the magazine's September 2019 issue.
The people we are looking for must be younger than 40 years of age on Sept. 1, 2019, and currently work in North America's railroad industry. To be considered for Rising Star recognition, candidates must be willing to participate in our process, answer questions from Progressive Railroading staff and supply a photo for publication.
To nominate a Rising Star, please submit the survey form below detailing the nominee's qualifications and accomplishments. Explain to us in a written statement how the nominee is making a positive difference in the railroad industry.
Candidates will be considered for recognition based on various qualities, including their contributions to railroading; career achievements; demonstrated leadership; education and/or professional training; and professional association activity or community involvement.
The nomination deadline is 5pm CST February 19, 2019. Nomination submissions after that date will not be considered for recognition in 2019.
