Union Pacific Railroad's women-focused employee resource group known by the acronym LEAD is marking its 20th anniversary with a full-day conference today in Nebraska.

National Basketball Players Association Executive Director Tamika Tremaglio will be the keynote speaker, while  Toyota North America General Manager Missy Pearlman will talk about the importance of being bold in the workplace, UP officials said in a press release.

The conference is being held today in Bellevue, Nebraska.

LEAD was founded in 2003 to empower and foster opportunities for women. It stands for: Lead. Educate. Achieve. Develop. One of its founding members is UP President Beth Whited, the first woman to hold that position in the company's 161-year history. Whited, who served as LEAD's second president, is scheduled to speak at the conference. Also scheduled to speak are UP CEO Jim Vena and UP Chief Financial Officer Jennifer Hamann.
