Racine Railroad Products Inc.

The Racine Rotamag rail drill uses an annular cutter for rail drilling applications. The lightweight drills can easily be handled by one operator and can drill a hole in 132-pound standard rail in 20 seconds, the company says. The drills are available in one of three versions: gasoline powered, four-cycle Honda engine that requires no fuel/oil mixture; the hydraulic model, which utilizes a 10 gpm motor; and the electric model, which is powered by a 110 VAC motor that rotates the bit up to 770 rpm. All drills feature a screw on clamping system, which secures the drill to the rail for quick set up. Each drill comes with a metal carry case, pressurized coolant bottle and tool kit.
