The Racine Ultra F-Clipper is a walk-behind machine that is designed for power installation and removal of the Pandrol FASTCLIP on concrete ties. The company says the one-man machine is propelled on the track by a hydraulic motor and can apply or remove two Pandrol FASTCLIPS at a time, on one rail, at a rate of 8 to 10 ties a minute on 70- to 141-pound rail. The hydraulic system is powered by a 9-horsepower Honda engine and operates at 2,200 psi. The machine is switched from apply mode to removal mode, or vice versa, by working a second control lever. Operator controls at both ends of the machine make it possible for the operator to always work going forward. An optional ramped cart makes it easy to move the machine from job to job. The Ultra F-Clipper can be converted to an Ultra E-Clipper or Ultra S-Clipper by means of a conversion kit for each clipper.
