Rail Experience: Gatson-Dunham began her rail career in 1999 in capital planning and finance, where she built a strong foundation in investment analysis, systems maintenance and operational economics. She transitioned into marketing and sales roles across industrial products, customer experience, business integration and commercial strategy. She helped shape pricing strategies, customer engagement models and enterprise integration efforts, earning a reputation as a thoughtful leader who empowers teams to perform at their best. Gatson-Dunham's leadership continued to expand within Loup Logistics, where she served in senior management and director roles supporting logistics operations, Cold Connect strategy and transportation programs. In her current role, Gatson-Dunham provides strategic leadership while remaining deeply committed to mentorship and talent development.
Mentorship Role: As a mentor in the formal companywide mentorship program, Gatson-Dunham has guided three mentees from a range of departments, providing practical career advice tailored to each mentee's unique role, aspirations and challenges. Her influence extends beyond formal mentoring through her service on the Culture Council, where she helped tackle complex initiatives, including efforts to enhance relocation support for employees and their families.
Additionally, Gatson-Dunham formerly served as president of the Black Employee Network (BEN), one of the nation's oldest employee resource groups that was founded in 1979. Her leadership strengthened BEN's legacy while fostering connection, development and advocacy. Today, Gatson-Dunham is an active member of BEN and UP's LEAD group, further reinforcing her commitment to mentorship and leadership development.
