Rail Experience: Hossain has built a strong and impactful career in the rail industry since entering 10 years ago. She has progressed to her current role as director of human resources for the RailWorks Corp.'s entire Canadian entity. In this position, she has played a key role in driving procedures that support a diverse and inclusive workplace. Her experience covers talent acquisition and development, employee engagement and organizational leadership, with a consistent focus on empowering women within a traditionally male-dominated industry.

Mentorship Role: Within the Canadian rail industry, Hossain is a proven, dedicated mentor and advocate for women. She created and leads PNR Women At Work Employee Resource Group (ERG). Through this initiative, she has built an environment for mentorship, connection and professional growth that supports women at all levels within PNR. Hossain meets with the members of the ERG monthly for discussions on topics such as imposter syndrome, effective communication, microaggressions, mental health and financial wellness. Her position and impact also garners support from her male counterparts in management.

Hossain has dedicated time and effort to ensuring that women at PNR are not held back by traditional norms. She regularly participates in industry events and maintains a network of other women leaders in rail with whom she can openly discuss relevant concerns and trends. Her tireless efforts have begun to drive meaningful cultural change for everyone in the organization.
