Camlin Rail has developed a three-dimensional automatic pantograph inspection system. Known as Pantobot 3D, the system enables network operators to make real-time decisions based on true pantograph conditions, Camlin Rail officials said in a press release. The technology can be used to analyze the degree of wear, chipping and cracking on every axis to the millimetric level. Pantobot 3D also measures the degree of pantograph uplift and provides automated alerts. Finally, the system detects if pantograph horns are damaged or missing.Camlin Rail officials will showcase the product at Booth #1907 at Railway Interchange, which runs Sept. 17-20.
