Montreal, Maine & Atlantic promotes three executives

On Nov. 6, Montreal, Maine & Atlantic Railway Co. (MMA) named Kelley Carter chief financial officer to succeed Richard Rushmore, who will continue to serve as vice president, secretary and treasurer.

A nine-year employee of MMA and its predecessor railroads, Carter most recently served as director of budgets and administration.

MMA also named Thomas Tardif director of real estate and environmental affairs, and Gaynor Ryan director of human resources.

A 27-year veteran of Maine railroads, Tardif most recently served MMA as manager of real estate. Ryan has nine years of rail-industry experience and most recently served the 745-mile regional as manager of human resources.

The three promoted officials formerly served the Bangor & Aroostook Railroad System, which MMA acquired in January.
