Comply365 announced it will provide its content management system and mobile application to Norfolk Southern Railway to support the Class I's efforts to digitize mission-critical documents that train conductors, engineers and other operational personnel must carry while on duty. The project will roll out to more than 8,000 operational employees across NS this year, Comply365 officials said in a press release.

The Andersons Inc. announced that Scott Mills and Jim Pirolli have taken on expanded leadership roles as senior vice presidents in the company’s trade and processing group. Mills will oversee the western corn belt, feed ingredients, and food and specialty operations. Pirolli will continue to lead the company’s ethanol business and will assume responsibility for eastern grain, cross-country trading and containerized exports.

Jacobs will serve as designer of record for the F.H. Paschen and Ragnar Benson joint venture, which is responsible for the 8-mile West Lake Corridor extension of the Northern Indiana Commuter Transportation District’s South Shore commuter-rail line between Hammond and Dyer, Indiana. The $933 million expansion will increase rail access in Lake County, Indiana, and connect the area more easily to Chicago, Jacobs officials said in a press release.

Arcola Energy has ordered Ballard Power Systems Inc.’s FCmove-HD fuel cell modules to power a passenger train planned for demonstration at the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference in November. Scottish Enterprise, Transport Scotland and the Hydrogen Accelerator have appointed Arcola and a consortium of industry leaders in hydrogen fuel cell integration, rail engineering and functional safety to deliver Scotland's first hydrogen-powered train, Ballard officials said in a press release. The consortium will convert a Class 314passenger train into a deployment-ready and certified platform for hydrogen-powered train development. The Bo'ness & Kinneil Railway will provide engineering facilities and support for testing and public demonstrations

Stahl Recruiting has partnered with e-railspot to add executive recruitment services to e-railspot.com’s marketplace. The marketplace brings railroad agencies and vendors together to provide procurement options for components, tools, parts and consultant services for the rail industry, Stahl officials said in a press release.

Transit Wireless hired Kristin Steiner as head of strategic partnerships and sales. She will drive the sales strategy to facilitate the company’s growing 5G infrastructure build-outs and expand public-private partnerships across transit and large commercial venues nationwide, Transit Wireless officials said in a press release. Previously, Steiner served as vice president of business development for Boingo.
