Norfolk Southern enhances intermodal service in Georgia lane (4/16/2003)
4/16/2025On April 14, Norfolk Southern Railway expanded its Austell-to-Savannah, Ga., intermodal service, adding a Wednesday cut-off from Savannah to Austell and a Tuesday cut-off from Austell to Savannah.
The Class I now offers service in the lane five days per week compared with the previous four days.
NS also plans to offer connecting service for expedited freight moving between Savannah and various northern network points.
