Maryland Transit Administration contracts ARINC to provide on-call consulting services

The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) recently awarded a five-year contract to ARINC Inc. to continue providing on-call digital equipment and systems engineering support.

Since 2000, the software development and integration consulting firm has helped MTA design, develop and manage new communications and control systems, and provided resident engineering services and technology assessments for the agency’s light-rail, commuter-rail and subway systems.

ARINC’s Surface Transportation Systems group also recently completed control upgrades for passenger-rail systems in New Jersey, New York City, Los Angeles County, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Portland, Ore., and Calgary, Alberta.
