Rail News: Rail Industry Trends

Industrial-equipment supplier acquires Vibratech's rail-product line

On June 24, Enidine Inc. announced it had purchased Vibratech Inc.'s rail-product line to offer vibration-isolation and motion-control equipment to the rail industry.

A supplier of industrial energy-absorption and vibration-isolation products, Enidine will market hydraulic telescopic and rotary shock absorbers, mechanical friction snubbers and hydraulic timing devices for freight- and passenger-rail, and locomotive applications.

"[The] acquisition of Vibratech rail products was a natural fit, enabling us to meet a customer-driven need for certain specialized products, which have traditionally fallen outside of our standard product range," said Enidine General Manager Christopher Lee in a prepared statement.
