The second annual Secure Rail conference drew more than 100 people to Orlando, Fla., last week. Held Feb. 9-10 and organized by Progressive Railroading, the event addressed physical and cyber security in the North American rail industry.

Sessions on the Transportation Security Administration's national strategy for freight-rail security and the current and future applications of unmanned aerial vehicles to enhance rail security drew some of the largest crowds.Secure Rail 2016 also featured a product showcase that highlighted the rail security products, services and technologies offered by eight event sponsors, several networking opportunities and an evening cocktail reception that enabled dozens of attendees and sponsors to mingle.
