Meadoweld’s Model RS-98 “Nu-Bear” provides versatility in portable, abrasive rail cutting. The 26 to 28 inch abrasive rail saw features a 180° saw head rotation, mounted on a heavy-duty, precision sealed bearing. The 60 HP “silent-pac”, air-cooled diesel engine provides ample power for a square, burr-free cut on either side of the track without moving the machine. Standard features include: patented oscillating system, pendant controlled power-feed system, “posi-lock” for quick and accurate saw head location, improved spindle design, heavy-duty rail clamps, blade storage compartment, lifting bale, parking brake and a 16 gallon fuel capacity. It is designed to maximize productivity on any rail maintenance activity requiring rail cutting.
