RailAmerica Inc. recently promoted Charles Hunter to general manager of the New England Central Railroad Inc. (NECR). He most recently served as assistant GM for the Connecticut Southern Railroad Inc. (CSRR).
A 23-year railroad industry veteran, Hunter previously served Genesee & Wyoming Inc. as vice president of transportation and GM of the St. Lawrence & Atlantic Railroad Co. He also held various positions at Emons Transportation Group and the Cadillac & Lake City Railway, including AVP of transportation, manager of transportation, trainmaster, general freight agent, conductor and agent/dispatcher.
Hunter will manage all operations for both the 366-mile NECR and 23-mile CSRR, and report to Regional VP-Atlantic Region Charlie Moore.
