Metro-North completes upgrades to four stations
MTA Metro-North Railroad recently completed upgrades to four Hudson Line stations under a $65 million program.
The agency added new platforms, canopies and windbreaks at the Hastings, Dobbs Ferry, Irvington and Ardsley stations. In addition, Metro-North installed elevators at Hastings, Dobbs Ferry and Ardsley stations, and replaced three overpasses with slightly higher ones to provide better clearances for freight trains.
Metro-North now has rebuilt 13 Hudson line stations. Work currently is under way to upgrade the Philipse Manor, Scarborough and Ossining stations.
